On behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office in:places organized the visit of female activists from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Mauritania to Germany in April 2012. The topic of the visit “Democracy and the role of women in the Maghreb” was developed by INPOLIS and focused on the role of women in the Arab Spring.
Because of the success of the visit in April, a second group of female activists – this time from the Middle East (Egypt, Libya, Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories) – was invited in October 2012. Apart from visits to institutions and talks with experts, a public discussion round at the Federal Foreign office was organized with both groups which were attended by a large number of interested citizens.
The seven-day program was organized and implemented by in:places – including the whole range of services for VIP delegations, hotel, catering and supporting program for the guests.
