The west tour presents four housing estates that were built in the relatively short period of time of 14 years. Although, they show very different concepts of modern residential building styles.
Starting at Bauhaus-Archiv, the tour leads to "Siemensstadt" which was built for the employees of Germany's big company. After that, the tour heads to Zehlendorf in order to show "Onkel Tom Colony" as well as the colony of "Am Fischtal" and the "SS-Kameradschaftssiedlung."
On the way back, the concepts of the 1920s and 1930s with the typical post-war style are presented with the example of "Hansaviertel."
After the north tour (White City), this is the second expert tour within the series "Berlin - City of Modernity."
Expert tours can be booked for any other date, starting with a group of 6 people.
