Journalist Programme

Berlin has been a UNESCO City of Design since 2005. In this context, in:places, in cooperation with the German Federl Foreign Office, organised a programme for journalists from other UNESCO Cities of Design. The aim was to strengthen both cooperation and communication between the various UNESCO Cities of Design.

The German embassies invited 12 specialised journalists from Montreal, Kobe/Nagoya, Buenos Aires and Shenzhen to visit Berlin for 10 days.

The programme included a broad variety of design topics: projects and institutions in the fields of media, communication, graphic-, product-, interior-, industrial- and fashion design. Apart from an introduction to specific products, the aim was also to come closer to the process of creative production and to understand what makes Berlin the place for it. Networks such as CREATE BERLIN and the international design festival DMY were also part of the extensive programme.

In:places organised the programme and took care of the stay of the guests entirely, including accommodation and catering.
