CIMON Study
Concepts & Strategies
In this project, in:polis researched existing networks between tailors/seamstresses in the district of Berlin-Neukölln and fashion designers in the whole city. The aim of this study was the evaluation of services in the field of tailoring in the northern part of Neukölln as well as the investigation of requirements, qualifications, and needs of the tailors/seamstresses. Of particular importance in the study were the opportunities and potentials of the tailors/seamstresses.

The long-term goal of the project has been to enhance both their working opportunities and the district’s local economy.

In:polis conducted the study on behalf of the bureau for business development of Berlin's district of Neukölln. In:polis was responsible for every step - from the research design and specification of the empirical methods to the implementation and evaluation. The methods included interviews with local experts and the tailors/seamstresses themselves.
