CODE: Poster Competition
Development & Management of Networks
Every metropolis has its own face, its own design, its visual code. UNESCO declared Berlin a "City of Design."

In a poster competition, CREATE Berlin sought the code that best describes the city of Berlin. Everyone could participate and the results were presented in public - in a street art contest that made Berlin's most promising places more lively; during a festival that celebrated the winners of the competition in Berlin as well as those of the Montreal competition which already took place.

During this festival, adboards were installed all over the city to present the artists' work as well as to let the city actively participate in the project.

The works were all designed by the artists themselves and selected by CREATE Berlin and curators.

The project started in spring 2009 and then went on a road show to Montreal, Buenos Aires, Shenzhen, Kobe and Nagoya.
