The starting point of in:polis's project package for Invest in Bogotá (Colombia) was an
extensive analysis of Bogotá's international positioning.
For the research, in:polis used three complementing methods:
- interviews: extensive interviews with 50 people
- focus groups: exchange of ideas about Bogotá's perception
- media analysis: quantitative and qualitative analyses of international newspapers, scientific articles, and a multitude of websites
The result of this work was a report that presented Bogotá's international positioning with the help of a
SWOT analysis (SWOT standing for
strengths,
weaknesses,
opportunities, and
threats).
