A
special edition of the
International Place Branding Conference was held in Utrecht, Netherlands, in January 2012. In:polis was in charge of the following tasks:
1. Formulation of conference themes and overarching questions (themes, subthemes, Call for Papers)
2. Coordination of the Scientific Committee (Selection of members, quality control of the evaluation process, analysis of the results, feedback to committee members and authors)
3. Contextual-organisational structuring of the programme (organisation of international experts as keynote speakers, organisation of papers into thematic groups, preparation and organisation of panels and sessions)
4. Cooperation with media (selection of an international scientific journal, selection of best papers for publication in that journal, coordination of editorial work and publication)
5. Distribution of conference information (preparation and management of contact lists, newsletter publications)
6. Distribution of conference materials and marketing of conference (preparation of conference proceedings, online presentation, organisation of conference materials)
