This Local Social Capital Study aimed to formulate recommendations for a sustainable neighbourhood tourism in Berlin's district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. The idea was to mitigate the main causes of friction between tourists and residents and to identify employment potentials in the local economy.
The study provides a more precise visitor profile - especially with regard to the behaviour of visitors and their knowledge of tourist possibilities in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Based on a SWOT analysis, strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and risks of the current tourism were presented.
