In this Local Social Capital Study, the behaviour and expectations of visitors on Karl-Marx-Straße are analysed in order to gain a better overview of particular qualities and attractions of this place as well as a more precise understanding of the demand for local offerings. The idea is to derive new approaches for the planned district tourism concept.
Potentials of a local tourism promotion programme are analysed, and their possible impacts on existing structure are discussed. Furthermore, approaches for a tourism management at the local level are looked upon. With the help of a SWOT analysis, opportunities and risks are identified and corresponding recommendation derived.
