It was the second time that in:projectis organized the Showroom-Mile during the Berlin Fashion Week. On the street „Unter den Linden“ up to „Alexanderplatz“ and during 29th January until 1st February 2009 the public was able to see fashion collections, retrospectives or interdisciplinary design projects both by young and established designers.

To draw a balance we can offer an impressive picture: with over 50 Designers this is a threefold growth since the first Showroom-Mile last summer. Hence we look ahead optimistically and start preparations for the next Showroom-Mile in July.

The project is an initiative of the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women’s issues while in:projectis has been responsible for its organisation since the very beginning. Being at the interface between businesses, the administration and designers we were able to use our vast network to make this project the success it has become.
