Billie Pittke studied art history, history and philosophy in Braunschweig and then art history and archaeology in Berlin. She is a free lance art historian, working in the educational programs (children and adults) of several Berlin museums (Gemäldegalerie, Neue and Alte Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Bahnhof-Museum of contemporary art, Bauhaus-Archiv etc.).
She has written a book and several articles about Berlin, while working as an expert guide for groups and individuals through Berlin and other parts of Germany.
